Two of ARRO’s municipal clients in Montgomery County—Lower Salford Township and Towamencin Township—were recently awarded funding through the 2025 Montco 2040 Implementation Grant Program.

Lower Salford Township received $250,000 for a stream restoration project in Briarwyck Park. The work will restore 875 linear feet of a tributary of Indian Creek within the park. The project is being implemented to reduce erosion and improve water quality in the Indian Creek Watershed. Planted riparian buffers along the stream will reduce runoff entering the creek and improve the health and biodiversity of the ecosystem.

Towamencin Township was also awarded $250,000 for the Grist Mill Stormwater Basins Modifications project. Towamencin plans to convert two dry stormwater basins to “dry extended detention” basins, a best management practice (BMP), which will provide increased nutrient and sediment reduction from the basin discharge. The project is being performed as part of a Multi-Municipal Pollution Reduction Plan (MMPRP) to address the water quality within the Skippack Creek watershed which is impaired for both nutrients and sediment.

These grant awards reflect ARRO’s continued commitment to supporting municipalities with strategic, results-driven planning and implementation. We are proud to assist our clients in securing funding for impactful improvements that enhance water quality and community resilience.
